Recommended use

ZINOTERM is recommended for corrosion protection of metal structures operated at elevated temperatures. ZINOTERM is used as a primer in complex protection systems or as an independent coating.

DESCRIPTION

ZINOTERM enables the quick execution of painting work in existing production conditions. Combining the material with ALUMOTERM composition allows for the creation of a heat-resistant coating.

The theoretical consumption for a single-layer coating is 180 - 420 g/m2.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Surface preparation operations:

degrease the metal surface to the first degree according to GOST 9.402-2004;

perform abrasive blasting of the surface to degree 2 according to GOST 9.402-2004 (Sa 2 1/2 according to ISO 8501-1:2007) with roughening, recommended surface profile Rz = 30-50 microns. It is optimal to use an abrasive that provides a sharp-angled (grit) surface profile; use of manual and mechanized tools is not allowed.

Preparation of the coating surface before applying subsequent coating layers or enamels coating layers on the ZINOTERM coating (if necessary):

degrease with aqueous solutions of detergents (solutions pH from 6 to 8);

dry and remove dust.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Before application, mix the composition thoroughly until smooth.

It is recommended to apply in plant and field conditions at temperature from minus 15 °С to plus 40 °С and relative air humidity up to 85 %.

The composition should be applied in 1 or 2 layers; each subsequent layer should be applied at ambient temperature (20±2)°C not earlier than 30 minutes after the previous one (it is recommended to increase the holding time of the coating with decreasing temperature).

The minimum holding time for the ZINOTERM coating before the application of the ALUMOTERM composition is 2 hours, before the application of other coating materials – 24 hours; the maximum time is unlimited.

The formation of the coating of ZINOTERM occurs in natural conditions, in order to obtain optimal physical and mechanical characteristics and improved protective properties, the coating must be heated to a temperature of 150 ° C and maintained for at least 3 hours.

STORAGE OF ANTICORROSIVE COMPOSITION

The composition is packed in metal buckets or cans.

Storage and transportation of the composition – in accordance with GOST 9980.5-2009 (at ambient temperature from minus 40 ° C to plus 40 ° C). The container with composition shall be protected from atmospheric condensation and direct sunlight.

The shelf life in hermetically enclosed original container is 12 months starting with the manufacture date.

SECURITY MEASURES

When working with the composition, the relevant industry standards and requirements should be observed, as well as the precautions indicated on the packaging label.

Personal protective equipment (glasses, face masks and respirators) shall be used, inhalation of thinners and contact of the composition or its components with skin, ocular mucosa, respiratory channels shall be avoided; use inside the premises is allowed only in case sufficient ventilation is provided.

The composition refers to fire-hazardous materials.

COMPATIBILITY OF THE COMPOSITION OF ZINOTERM WITH OTHER VMP MATERIALS

ZINOTERM is compatible with ALUMOTERM composition, as well as with other heat-resistant organosilicon enamels.
