Recommended use

ZVES-MO primer is used for anticorrosive protection of metal workpieces, parts and assembly units for the period of storage in atmospheric conditions between manufacture and installation and during transportation. Also, the ZVES-MO primer is used to protect and seal threaded pipe connections.

DESCRIPTION

There are often cases when a long period of time passes between the manufacture of metal structures, their transportation and installation. At the same time, precipitation, high humidity or an aggressive industrial environment can cause corrosion during storage. In order to protect finished metal products for the storage period, VMP Holding has developed a special primer ZVES-MO. It is applied to the metal surface with a thin layer, which provides proper protection of metal structures from corrosion during interoperative storage. At the same time, products coated with ZFES-MO can experience welding, cutting. A single-layer coating does not affect the quality of the weld.

ZVES-MO can be overlapped with epoxy and polyurethane materials produced by VMP.

The theoretical consumption for a single-layer coating is 90-150 g/m2.

SURFACE PREPARATION

degrease the metal surface to the first degree according to GOST 9.402-2004;

clean by abrasive blasting method to degree 2 according to GOST 9.402 (Sa 2 1/2 or Sa 3 according to ISO 8501-1) with roughening. The recommended surface profile is sharp-angled (grit), surface roughness should be from 25 to 60 microns (thin according to ISO 8503-1, comparator "G", segments 1-2);

remove abrasive and dust.

Before applying the coating layers, the surface of the ZVES-MO coating must be free from corrosion products, grease and other contaminants, dust-free.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

before application, mix the primer base thoroughly until the sediment disappears completely at the bottom of the container and a homogeneous suspension is obtained;

add the binding agent into the base with constant stirring (proportion 100: 15 by mass, respectively);

Primer is recommended to be applied at temperatures from minus 15 °C to plus 40 °C and relative air humidity from 30 % to 80 % (best practical from 50 % to 80 %).

STORAGE OF ANTI-CORROSIVE PRIMER

The primer is packaged in metal buckets or cans and plastic cans.

Storage and transportation of the primer – in accordance with GOST 9980.5-2009 (at ambient temperature from minus 40 ° C to plus 40 ° C). Containers with a primer should not be exposed to atmospheric condensation and direct sunlight.

The shelf life of the primer base (zinc paste) in hermetically enclosed original container is 12 months, binding agent – 6 months starting with the manufacture date.

SECURITY MEASURES

When working with the primer, the existing sectoral standard norms and requirements and safety measures as specified on the package label shall be observed.

It is necessary to use personal protective equipment (glasses, masks, respirators), avoid inhaling solvents during evaporation and getting the primer on the skin, mucous membranes of the eyes and respiratory tract; use indoors only with sufficient ventilation.

The primer is classified as fire-hazardous material.

COMPATIBILITY OF THE ZVES-MO PRIMER WITH OTHER VMP MATERIALS

ZVES-MO primer is compatible with polyurethane compositions: ALUMOTAN, POLYTON-UR, FERROTAN, ZINOTAN, as well as with epoxy compositions: ZINEP, ISOLEP-mastic, ISOLEP-mio.
