Recommended use

The epoxy primer ISOLEP-eps is used for interoperative anticorrosive protection of cleaned steel sheets and other metal structures when painting on automated lines on plant.

Specifications

Enhanced protective properties (contains a corrosion inhibitor).

Quick - drying

AREAS OF APPLICATION

ISOLEP-eps primer is used to protect cleaned steel sheets and other metal structures from corrosion when painting on automated lines on plant.

CERTIFICATION

Certificate of state registration No. RU.66.01.40.015.E.000200.10.18 from 31.10.2018

Approved by testing centers: RPA "Lakokraspokratiye" (Khotkovo), LLC "Ural Institute of Welding".

DESCRIPTION

Composition of the epoxy primer ISOLEP-eps contains a corrosion inhibitor (zinc phosphate) and "iron" mica, thanks to which the protective properties of the coating are significantly improved. Corrosion destruction of metal slows down, adhesion increases, moisture access to the protected surface is prevented. The ISOLEP-eps primer is applied directly to the metal, providing anti-corrosive protection of structures for up to 6 months. Coated products can be subjected to thermal cutting, semi-automatic and automatic welding at high speed without increasing the porosity of the weld.

CONSUMPTION PER M2

The theoretical consumption for a single–layer coating is 55 - 110 g/m2.

SURFACE PREPARATION

degrease metal surface to the first degree according to GOST 9.402;

perform abrasive blasting to degree 2 according to GOST 9.402 (Sa 2 1/2 according to ISO 8501-1), surface roughness 25-60 microns (segments 1-2 on comparator S according to ISO 8503-1);

remove dust.

When applying the designed coating system subsequently, the primer surface should be dusted off, degreased to the first degree according to GOST 9.402 if necessary, and if there are signs of corrosion and other defects, conduct local cleaning to the degree of P Sa 2 - Sa 2½ according to ISO 8501-1.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

prior to use, mix component A (base) to a homogeneous state;

with constant stirring, add component B (hardener) to component A, mix thoroughly. The proportion of components A and B by mass 2.9:1, by volume 2:1, respectively

periodic mixing is recommended.

It is recommended to apply the primer in the factory at a temperature of plus 5 to plus 40 ° C and a relative humidity of no more than 85%.

ISOLEP-eps is recommended to be applied in plant conditions at temperature from plus 5 to plus 40 °C and relative air humidity not exceeding 85 %.

It is allowed to apply the primer by pneumatic and airless spraying. If necessary, dilution with solvent SOLV-ES (no more than 5% by weight) is allowed until the working viscosity is reached.

STORAGE OF ANTI-CORROSIVE PRIMER

The primer is supplied as a complete set: component A and component B, packed in metal buckets and metal cans, respectively, depending on the weight of the kit.

Storage conditions of components is in accordance with GOST 9980.5 (at ambient air temperature

from minus 40 to plus 40 °C).  When storing containers with primer components, they should not be near heat sources, exposed to precipitation and direct sunlight.

The shelf life of component A is 24 months, component B is 12 months from the date of manufacture.

SECURITY MEASURES

When working, it is important to adhere to industry standards and requirements, as well as the precautions indicated on the packaging label.

Use personal protective equipment (goggles, masks, respirators), avoid inhalation of solvents during evaporation and contact of the material or its components with the skin, mucous membranes of the eyes and respiratory tract; use indoors only if sufficient ventilation is provided.

The material and its components (base and hardener) are flammable!
